HEALTH & SAFETY
Notice to Texas State University Community – February 26, 2020
Texas State University is monitoring the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), as governments and health organizations around the world react to contain this disease.
Students are strongly advised to stay informed by visiting the Department of State website, the Centers for Disease Control website and by downloading the ISOS app to receive travel alerts in your area. It is also important to keep your family informed and invite them to contact International SOS for professional safety and health advice (contact information can be found on your ISOS insurance card)
Students are also encouraged to be attentive to the safety recommendations from your local program providers and authorities. If you experience any of the symptoms of the coronavirus which include fever, cough, tightness of the chest, and difficulty breathing, you should seek medical advice by contacting ISOS, which is available 24/7.
All updates from Texas State will go out to students via email. We remind students about the importance of keeping their cell phones and data on at all times in order to receive these notifications.
