General Information Sessions
Attending a General Information Session (GIS) is the first step to participate in an Education Abroad program.
Students have two options for attending a GIS:
Option 1. Attend an Online Live Session (duration one hour).
During this session, Education Abroad staff members will introduce different types of education abroad programs, some financial solutions students might be able to use as well next steps for applying for education abroad programs. Students will be able to ask their questions at the end of the presentation.
Time: Mondays & Fridays - from 2 pm to 3 pm
Option 2. Attend an Online Pre-recorded Education Abroad Video (duration 15 min).
Once students have signed up for a session, they will receive a link in their email to the pre-recorded Education Abroad Video, which they can watch at any time. In this video, we will go over all of the different types of education abroad programs, some financial solutions that students might be able to use, and what students' next step(s) will be in the process.
Time: In order to have access to the pre-recorded session students must sign up for a session held on Wednesday, but please note that there is no actual session at that time. Students will be able to watch the GIS video at their convenience.
Once students participated in the GIS session or watched the pre-recorded video, they may schedule a virtual advising appointment via Education Abroad Advising Appointments for any questions they may have.
